Named for William Hodgins who came to Chilliwack in 1903 and bought land from Isaac Kipp. Hodgins donated one acre of land, which became Chilliwack’s first hospital. Originally the street was called Kipp Lane as it led to Isaac Kipp’s house. Locals once called Kipp Lane, Lover’s Lane.
