When the British Columbia Electric Railway was completed, one of the last stations on the line was named Yarrow.
According to the Mirriam-Webster dictionary, yarrow is “a widely naturalized strong-scented Eurasian composite herb (Achillea millefolium) with finely dissected leaves and small usually white corymbose flowers; also : any of several congeneric plants” (Mirriam-Webster, n.d.)
