Named after the A.C. Henderson family who immigrated to Chilliwack in 1877. A.C. Henderson donated property for Cooke’s Presbyterian Church, which he named for Henry Cooke, a famous theologian in Ireland. A.C. Henderson also donated property for the first high school at the intersection of College Avenue and Young Street.
