Andrews Avenue was named after Arthur Iver Andrews, who was born April 24, 1890 at Ross, On Wye, Herfordshire, England and at the time of his death July 2, 1982 had lived in Chilliwack for 60 years. He was the proprietor of Andrews Meat Market and like his wife was a long time member of St. Thomas Anglican Church, holding every position a lay person could hold in his sixty year association with the church. Mr. Andrews was a former member of the Chilliwack School Board and Chilliwack Hospital Board. He was a director of the Chilliwack Agricultural Society and a president of the Chilliwack Lawn Bowlers.
