Rosedale Traditional Community School derives it’s name from the community of Rosedale, in which it resides. The community is said to have been named for the wild roses which grew in abundance in the area (Heritage Preservers, 1988).
The school was re-named Rosedale Traditional Community School when calls for name suggestions were submitted from the community after a new building construction.
