G.W. Graham Secondary was named after G. W. “Wilf” Graham from Chilliwack who, after attending Chilliwack High School, taught at Atchelitz, Robertson and Sardis Elementary schools before becoming vice –principal, then principal at Chilliwack High School.
In 1950 Graham became the Provincial School Inspector for the BC Department of Education, and in 1977 he was the temporary Superindentant for Schools in Chilliwack. In March, 2005 G.W. Graham Middle School was named in his honour.
